I always wanted to have my own styled sneakers and i guess i will try that... but the original sneakers were pink right? u used acrylics for the outline too? and how did you protect the paint from water, i mean the picture doesn't fade away in time? thanks!!
yep these were originally pink so since im not a fan of pink and began painting them. the cartoon figure and the flowers were painted with acrylics, except outlines which i used thin markers. well my own method of protecting them is to never wear them lol it's actually ok to wash or polish illustrations using cold water. only the markers disappears after few month so i just redo them, easy job, piece a cake. anything else you wanna know? lol i feel so fired up for some reasons
actually yes hahahaha... i heard in a tv show that they use some kind hair product to protect them perhaps i should find out more... i really want to try that soon (perhaps in neutral grey or white sneaker) with a very weird and complicate outline... any specific black markers to recommend and tip sizes? and the acrylics are like acrylics pens or real acrylic paint? Thanks!!
oh i see, i don't really know much about any products that protects artworks. although when i was in high school, i've seen someone spraying deodorant on their pencil drawings, and said it prevents from smudging the drawing, i was like WTF? pretty retarded but anyway, thin liner markers are best to get that thin, fine line. but don't just solely relying on markers, because most markers aren't waterproof, some say it does but over a period of time been exposed they will come off! imaging if your entire illustration work was done using markers and got water on it and makes it mess. sketch your ideas with pencil so you can adjust, change it whenever you like.
